The dacha season is over and it's time to sum up the first results. The year was "pepper" because the harvest of peppers was excellent. Old, well-known varieties showed themselves well. But we are interested to know about new ones. Most of all dacha owners are interested in large-fruited varieties with thick walls, sweet and juicy. We present cube-shaped, elongated-cube-shaped peppers and varieties of peppers like Rotunda or Gogoshary.

We recommend a new sweet bell pepper - & nbsp; White Bull. The variety is distinguished by the friendly yields in the shortest possible time. Cubic fruits of this variety reach a weight of 220-250 grams and the main yield (8-10 fruits) is concentrated on the lower tiers. While the late-ripening, cubic varieties (e.g., pepper Spanish Bull) were getting colored, this variety was already ready for harvesting.
The record of large-fruitedness was broken by sweet pepper Kakadu Yellow. Its elongated cuboid fruits (sortotype Lamuyo) reached the weight of 390 gr, and the average weight was 300-350 gr. To date, it is the largest-fruited variety. Slightly smaller in weight peppers Kakadu orange , but the same flavorful, with juicy thick walls.

By the way! It is possible to increase the yield of peppers by using some agricultural techniques such as removing the inflorescence ("crown") at the first fork of the stem. Such pruning promotes better fruit setting and early ripening. This method is often used by agronomists to grow tall pepper varieties in greenhouses. This variety combines early maturity with excellent fast setting, a fairly large fruit (up to 250 g) and excellent pepper flavor. And it is not surprising - orange-fruited peppers are considered by many cooks the most delicious.
Cubic peppers Milky Way weighing 200-250 g, also have excellent taste qualities. The fruit wall is firm, with a slight crunch, 6-7 mm thick, juicy. The color of immature fruits is yellowish-white, ripe - yellow, glossy. The peppers are of universal use: as fresh produce and for home cooking.

Peppers Fon Baron red, Fon Baron yellow and Fon Baron orange are tested. These are Rotunda peppers, with heavy, flat-round ribbed fruits, resembling the shape of small pumpkins. The average weight of the fruit was 150-170 g, and wall thickness with regular watering and feeding reached 9-10 mm, which is close to the maximum for sweet peppers.
All those who like to experiment on their plot with unusual varieties of peppers, we recommend growing all three varieties Phone Baron - red, yellow and orange.

Dancers certainly want to harvest peppers early, because our summer is short. Small but very early and productive varieties we advise to plant not only in greenhouses, but also in the open ground under the foil. Shallow, thanks to the shortened internodes, bushes of sweet peppers quickly form a lot of red or bright yellow fruits. In the open ground, such varieties do not require shaping, and how to correctly garter peppers can be seen in our photos.
With this method of tying plants does not need to put a support to each bush, it is enough to place pegs in 1,5-2 m and pull the twine in two rows. Our new varieties of early peppers will thank you with a good harvest.

Pepper sweet Fanonik - recommended for cultivation in the open field and film greenhouses. The plant is medium height, with short internodes. The fruit is cone-shaped, 2-3-chambered, 10-12 cm long, with juicy walls of 5-6 mm. The color of the immature fruit is light green, while the mature fruit is sunny yellow. Weight 140-200 g. Recommended for fresh consumption, and retains its flavor and aroma when frozen.

Sweet bell pepper Generosity easily adapts to adverse growing conditions, without losing large fruit size and yield, even in the open air. The plant is semi-extended, 60-100 cm high. The fruits are weighty, 130-150 gr, cone-shaped, with walls 6-8 mm thick, ripening their color changes from yellowish-green to red.
Prise sweet pepper Prizer - one of the earliest varieties (from shoots to technical ripeness about 100 days). Due to this good yields are formed even in regions with moderate climate and a short growing season. Suitable for growing in the open field and in film greenhouses. The plant is weakly foliated, tall (up to 1.6-1.8 m in the greenhouse). The fruit is cone-shaped, 2-3-chambered, with juicy walls of 5 mm, length 10-11 cm. Weight 100-120 g. The color of immature fruit is yellowish-green, while the mature fruit is red and glossy.

One of the largest early maturing varieties of pepper Sweetener suitable for growing in the open field and in film greenhouses. The plant is short, medium-leaved, with short internodes. The fruit is cone-shaped, with juicy walls of 5-7 mm, 10-12 cm long. Weight 180-220 g. As it matures, it changes color from light green to glossy red. Fleshy, sweet fruits have excellent taste.
It is not inferior to the pepper Sweet Cheeks on the large fruit is a new variety of Fat cheeks . The fruits are red, prismatic, ribbed, with weight 140-280 g, up to 12.5 cm long, with bright peppery flavor.

One of the most interesting, in our opinion, varieties was the pepper Jigit. Dzhigit is a sweet pepper, although externally very similar to hot peppers. Dzhigit variety is early maturing, very productive, combining exotic dark purple color of the fruit with an unusual shape. Despite the trunk-like shape of the fruit, characteristic of spicy peppers, this variety has a very sweet pleasant taste if harvested fully ripe. There is no need to hurry to harvest such peppers, it is better to wait when the color of the mature pepper becomes red and glossy.

Fruit is 4-5 mm thick, 15-17 cm long, weight 50-80 g. Peppers are grown mainly in protected ground, as they often reach a height of 2 m. Such peppers can be used both fresh and for preserves.
Great harvests to you!
